Frequently asked questions
The doubts everyone has before trusting a converter with their photos.
Yes, it is safe. Your files are processed in your browser's memory and released when you close the tab. They are not stored on any server, so there is no risk of hacks or leaks: nobody else can see your photos.
Yes. Since all processing is local, you can convert iPhone photos safely and privately even offline. It is an offline HEIC converter that runs in the browser.
HEIC is the format iPhones use to save photos since iOS 11: it takes up less space, which means more photos fit on your phone. The downside is that Windows, older Android phones and many apps cannot open it. Converting it to PNG, JPG or WebP solves it.
Because that is how iPhones record video: good quality in less space. The problem is that not every player, editor or social network accepts it. Converting to MP4 makes it play anywhere, including WhatsApp, Instagram and any TV.
It is completely free: no sign-up, no email, no watermark and no file limit. The work is done by your own device, so keeping it free costs us nothing.
Yes. Drop as many photos as you like, convert them together, copy them or download them all in a single ZIP. Videos are converted one by one so your device does not run out of memory.
Yes. Once the page is open everything works on your device, so you can convert with no internet connection at all. It works on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac and Linux.
It goes straight to your clipboard, ready to paste into a chat, a document or an editor. It is created on your device and never leaves it.
Your files are never uploaded to any server
The conversion happens inside your own browser, on your device. There is no server, no queue and no copy anywhere: when you close this tab, nothing is left behind.
Nothing is sent, nothing is stored
Your browser opens your photos and videos and converts them in its own memory. They never travel over the internet, so there is nothing to leak, sell or lose.
No account, no email, no watermark
There is no sign-up, no login and no logo stamped on your files. Open the page, convert, done.
You can check it yourself
Turn off your connection (airplane mode, or unplug the cable) and convert a photo. If it still works, it means nothing was being sent anywhere. That is the easiest proof.
A history only you can see
The optional history is kept inside this browser and never on the internet. Clear it with one click and it is gone for good.
Free thanks to advertising
We do not sell your files or your data: we do not have them. The tool is funded by ads, which never access what you convert because everything happens on your device.
What is HEIC and why can I not open my photos?
The short version: your iPhone saves photos and videos in a format not everything can open. This tool turns them into formats everything understands — without uploading them anywhere.
HEIC: your iPhone photo format
iPhones save photos as .heic files so more pictures fit on the phone. The drawback: when you send one to a Windows PC, an older Android or certain apps, it simply will not open. Converting it to PNG, JPG or WebP fixes it instantly.
MOV and HEVC: your iPhone video format
The same thing happens with video. iPhones record .mov files that some browsers, editors and apps refuse to play. Converting them to MP4 makes them play everywhere: WhatsApp, Instagram, PowerPoint or any TV.
Why convert here and not on another website?
Most websites upload your files to their servers to convert them there. That means your private photos travel over the internet and end up on someone else computer. Here the conversion happens inside your own browser: your files do not go anywhere.
And can I trust that?
You do not have to. Switch on airplane mode (or unplug your connection) and convert a photo. If it still works, it means nothing was being sent anywhere. That is the simplest proof.
How it works, in three steps
You pick your files
Your browser opens them and they stay in this tab. Nothing is uploaded: neither the photo nor the video ever leaves your device.
They are converted on the spot
The work is done by your own device, so it is fast and private. That is also why it keeps working with no internet connection.
You save the result
Download each file, copy a photo to the clipboard to paste it anywhere, or download everything at once as a ZIP.
Things you should know
You need a modern browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari 15.4 and newer.
A very large video is hard work: it can take several minutes and keep the tab busy.
Videos recorded in HDR may look slightly flatter after conversion.
Live Photos are saved as a still photo; the short video part is ignored.
What we promise
Your files are never uploaded: there is no server to receive them.
No account, no email and no watermark on your files.
We never see your content, so we cannot store it, sell it or train anything with it.
